I was just trying to write an essay, but facebook kept sucking me in. When is facebook going to become part of the English dictionary, by the way? It’s really annoying getting the red squiggly lines under a word that you know is right and exists… But to return to topic, as I was trying to switch back to pages from safari, I had this mind-blowing moment where I got the thought that when most people are out and about, they’re IN the world. And when they sit down with their computers they kind of check into this other world, of the wide web. Which is a f’ing parallel universe, another dimension – because it’s just as huge as the world, if not bigger! Albert Heijn has GREAT raspberry juice, by the way. Well, anyway, as I was saying, people are usually either in the real world or in the matrix. Although, that’s not entirely true! Because this is where we need to consider the fact that we live in an age where smartphones are very much present. So, as I was thinking about the either in the world or in the web thing, and thought I’d come up with a brilliant thought – I realized that most people are always in the matrix! At least the ones who possess that kind of phone. I guess the difference is how when you’re on a computer you’re actively engaged in something, whereas with the phones you’re mostly just active when there’s a new notification on … FACEBOOK I NEED TO WRITE MY ESSAY

a new blogpost has been long overdue, I know. There’s just so much going on, and everyday seems to be even more amazing than the previous one. At the moment I’m on lunch break. It’s the first day of school and I feel like I’ve really hit home. Inner peace; YES. I almost cried during the introduction seminar, so many things were spot on and it just felt like all of the last month was made ‘official’ or something, tied together. All of our class is here now and this adventure has officially begun.
I’m totally blown away by the diversity here, people are from all over the world, both teachers and students. So many open minds and kind souls

So far we’ve just taken yearbook pictures and set up our computers etc, in the afternoon I’ll be having a tutor-meeting which is exciting.. Oh well, enough enough.

Life in A’dam is also extraordinary, I don’t even know where to begin. It’s so beautiful… Uh. And there’s always something going on. On a little more depressing note, the weather is shite. It rains on and off practically all the time, soo frustrating. But – I’ve learned to maneuver in bike traffic madness with an umbrella, so it’s all good
At the dorms there’s all sorts of people and there’s never a dull moment. This weekend we had the most extraordinary night at my place, people brought instruments and their best singing voices and we rocked the place out until early morning. Sorry for such a scattered post.

Barely know how to handle all this love and amazingness. Happyface.

+ that 1st day of school was cake and sweet and the school is so beautiful, and just by a canal, the building just drops down into the water on one side. Had puffertjes (MIDGET PANCAKES haha) with a friend after class, delish!
